What should I do if condensation forms on the dust handling equipment in winter?

字体大小:

During winter, the low temperature can easily cause condensation in the use of dust handling equipment. If this phenomenon is not handled promptly and properly, it will exacerbate the corrosion of the dust handling equipment, hydrolyze the filters, shorten the service life of the dust handling equipment, and in severe cases, even cause dust to adhere to the surface of the filters, blocking the air holes and resulting in a sudden increase in resistance of the dust handling equipment, thus making it unable to work normally.

Therefore, it is particularly important to insulate dust treatment equipment in winter to ensure flexible operation even in cold weather.

Condensation reason

Condensation refers to the phenomenon where moisture-laden air releases its saturated moisture at a certain pressure and temperature. The temperature point at which the moisture is released is called the dew point.

The higher the gas pressure in a saturated state, the lower the dew point. The higher the moisture content in the air, the higher the dew point temperature. When the moisture content in the air is constant and the temperature of the moist air is below the dew point temperature, the supersaturated air will release water, resulting in condensation. When the air temperature is above the dew point, no water will be released, and thus no condensation will occur.

Causes and solutions of condensation

1. The dust handling equipment has an air leakage issue

We all know that the internal temperature of dust handling equipment is very high during operation. If the machine leaks, some external air will enter its interior. When cold air encounters hot air, condensation will occur due to physical changes.

2. The humidity contained in the flue gas exceeds the standard

When the dust handling equipment sucks in dust, if the local air is relatively humid or the smoke dust contains a large amount of moisture, condensation will occur when the smoke dust is inhaled into the dust handling equipment. This situation is generally more prone to occur in cement manufacturing plants.

3. The temperature of the gas injected by the pulse dust treatment equipment is too low

During the process of pulse jetting dust removal using dust handling equipment, compressed air is employed to achieve the desired result. When air is compressed, its internal pressure undergoes corresponding changes. These changes may not be very noticeable in summer, but in winter, due to pressure variations, the internal temperature will undergo significant changes, leading to a decrease in the temperature of the jetting gas and resulting in condensation.

4. No insulation measures have been taken

If the shell of the dust handling equipment lacks thermal insulation or has inadequate protective measures, condensation may occur due to the temperature difference between the inside and outside.
